Produced in Italy, this range of cotton fiber papers has the distinction of being the first 100% cotton grade specifically created for printmaking by the mill.
The paper is smooth and supple to the touch with internal sizing but very little surface sizing, making it ideal for all deluxe and demanding printmaking processes.
Pescia is a favorite among those doing intaglio, messotint, aquatint, etching, woodblock, stone litho, etching and silkscreen. Its supple surface is also ideal for all drawing techniques and should not be overlooked as an option for graphite, colored pencil, pastel or charcoal.
The paper is named after the town of Pescia which is situated in the beautiful foothills of the Tuscany region of Italy. The original range consisted of white, cream and blue and was expanded in 1994 to include softwhite and grey.
Pescia is deckled on all four sides and displays a running watermark of the old CM logo (not localized or positioned).

La gamma originale era composta da bianco, crema e blu ed è stata ampliata nel 1994 per includere softwhite e grigio. Pescia è addobbata sui quattro lati e riporta una filigrana in corso del vecchio logo CM (non localizzata o posizionata).
